so here are my observations on the situation in Israel. Israel (Sharon) gives up the Gaza Strip, the Palestineans move in and everyone is happy? not really, some Palestinean militant groups setup outposts and arm them in the Gaza Strip, now the Gaza Strip can fire upon Israel. Some more Palestinean militants kidnap an Israeli soldier, Israel won't stand for it and attacks, demanding the soldier be released. No dice.

Then, seeing the Israelis distracted on the other side of the country (and being ever the opportunists), Lebanon seizes and kidnaps two Israeli soldiers on the other side of the country. Israel then attacks back at Lebanon.

Now correct me if I am wrong here, but all we need is one of the big guys (US, Iran, Russia, etc) to get involved here and we have the makings of another World War.

here is an intersting article likens NOT breastfeeding to smoking. these breast feeding nazi's even go as far as pushing for warning lables on formula cans like the ones on cigarettes. they are not a warning that formula is bad, but a warning that breast feeding is better.

what a friigin waste of money and resources. are there any mothers out there that don't know that breast feeding is better for their kid? i guess you could say are there any idiots out there that don't knwo smoking will kill you?

but where does this stupidity end? warning labels on soda that drinking milk or juice is healthier?

So my hearts out to the roethlisberger family and friends and I hope big ben gets better soon, and it looks like he will. But I can’t help but wonder how retarded is the state of Pennsylvania. Ben was not wearing a helmet, his choice, but I have to wonder why a state would not require helmets? Sure, let the riders decide, but then why does Pennsylvania require seatbelts? Don’t get me wrong, I am all for kids, and those under 18 to be required, but hell I gotta think I am safer in my car than I would be on a motorcycle?

then i had some time to think about it (a phrase my wife says is dangerous) and i thought this is not funny, it is quite sad actually. i understand the issue with fuel prices, it hits us all because it is the backbone of our society...or is it?

initial gut reaction to the pains at the pump is "frick, how will i afford to get to work? they raise the price of fuel and i don't get a salary increase, thats not fair" true enough.

mass transit? well for those of that live outside the nearest city, in the vastr cultural wastelands known as suburbia, a train or busstop is a short drive away. then again, so is work, so F that idea.

is dumping the gas guzzling SUV's the answer? not really. maybe it will prolong the inevitable, but it is a bandaid fix at best. besides, aren't we the land of the free...free to display excess and frivolous excess at will?

how about getting the frggin government to step in and regulate the industry. dare i say, yet another bandaid fix at best.

here is my contention > before you spout off about cheney's buddies in the oil industry, stop. they owe you nothing. i contend that we should let fuel prices get high, it is inevitable. IT IS A LIMITED RESOURCE, PEOPLE! IT WILL RUN OUT. we need to find alternatives...bottom line. sure we can wait, and prices will get higher as the the supply gets lower and demand continues to grow.

so on a lighter note, i am still a fan of professional wrestling. i know, fake, stupid, crass, etc., but hey i still find it entertainment. anyway, wwe is bringing back the faction DX with triple h and hbk at the helm. this takes me back to care free days of high school, so i am excited about it.

here is my prediction of how it will go down. vince will make triple h apoligize for hitting shane with the sledge hammer, triple h won't and a tag match of shane/vince vs triple h/hbk will be set. this match will be setup for the vengeance ppv. hhh and hbk will come out to the DX music and with t-shirts, etc. something's gonna happen at the match where hhh and hbk will be getting beat down and a tag team (mnm, maybe carlito, maybe someone else) will come out to make the save. they will celebrate in the ring with h and hbk and join dx.
